AvatarLog - Guidelines for Submissions

The following are guidelines for any one who wishes to send in an indepth guide. At the moment, no guides are being published except clickables and whichever category I am working on. They -will- be received and saved though, for when I get around to that category of avatars to work guides for :)

Sloth's Wise Words for Good Writing
Arrr... so you want to write well from the master himself eh? *evil cackle* Alright, here are the most basic rules I want to see in your writing - or it's off to the Kreludan mines with you!
1. Capitalization Kreludor. Sloth Plushie. Evil Snowball. Doctor Sloth. What do these things have in common? ... *crickets chirping*
They are all proper nouns, dur! Please capitalize all proper nouns, whether they be a character name, an item name (that's why you see items as Plain Sloth Day Burger, and not plain sloth day burger. CAPITALIZE!).
2. Using the Apostrophe Sloths and Sloth's. Its and It's. What's the difference? When you add an apostrophe, it means either a) it is a contraction for 'is' (such as he's meaning 'he is') or b) you are showing that something belongs to the first part of the word (such as Sloth's minions, meaning the minions belonging to Sloth).
Therefore, this is incorrect (wrong, bad, horrible!!): Its a good idea to play Splat-a-Sloth. (That should be It's, for 'it is a good idea..', and also note that the game name is capitalized! :D)
3. i <-- That is not a word! Always capitalize I :D
4. Full Stops. (Also known as periods elsewhere in the world.) Please, oh please finish sentences with one of these great inventions: .
Otherwise, how else do we know when a sentence stops it could go on forever like this one and be really really really annoying and people don't know when to stop reading and take a breath and someone could go on and on about how great Sloth is and the brilliancy of his latest plots and the conspiracy behind the orange dots on those purple-
Hmm, okay. Starry says I can't waste anymore space lecturing about grammar, but I think I've covered the most common annoyances received in our guides. Now I think I'll go chastise Starry's grammar around the site, hmm....

Only original content will be accepted. Guides/lists lifted off of another site will be dismissed immediately.

We are not looking for additional links for any clickables guides unless we have less than 15 links (for the pet ones). If we have less than 15 links for a clickable pet/petpet avatar, please feel free to send in one not already listed :)

Please do not submit 'general knowledge' that can be found on a bunch of sites elsewhere :) We are looking for unique, related and helpful tips/strategies.

Remember that an in-depth guide is geared toward getting the avatar only - there is no need to write an entire page on how to beat all the levels of Raiders of Maraqua if you don't need them all the levels to get the avatar score :)

Guides must be formatted in plaintext HTML, unless it includes a tabled price list. (In such case, please send me a message and I will send back the format you should use for the price list.)

Please include screenshots if needed (mostly for game avatars I'd imagine), and I will choose whether to include them in the guide or not. ^_^

All in-depth guides may be emailed to the appropriate guide address listed here. Please include your username when sending a guide.
