» Hold onto your hats... Hold onto your hats... the pound has now re-opened. If you didn't read the FAQ posted in the Neopets news last Friday, there is a new feature called Transfer that allows safe transfer of a pet between two accounts. Please be careful if you are lending your pets! Transfers will ensure your pet reaches the specified owner, but you can only send one and receive one pet per month. (So, if you wanted to lend someone for a pet in return, you wouldn't be able to adopt the new pet AND receive back your original pet on the same account until the next month.) Also, there is still the age old scam of "you send me your pet first" (and then they disappear and never return your pet). Safe adopting/pounding/transferring everyone! » In other news... I (Starry) have final exams over the next two weeks so I may not be around to address emails or site updates. (But hey! I've almost finished my first year of college!)

» AAA Update It's currently Day 15 into AAA and Abigail's challenge! However, it seems like no one has received the Gamesmaster AAA for this year (yet). There are several possibilities: The avatar might not be released until later this month. If you recall in last year's Daily Dare, the avatar was announced in the news on the 15th but was not actually given out until the 26th. You might need more than 15 challenge wins this time 'round. The avatar might not be available at all :( We'll keep you updated on the status if we hear any new information! :)

» Maths Nightmare Avatar Thanks to dzspy for bringing to our attention that the Maths Nightmare avatar is available again! (You heard it here first *wink*) This avatar has been unavailable ever since the release of the new version of Maths Nightmare, but it looks like TNT has now re-enabled it :) Remember, to get this avatar you need to be in the top 50 slots of the high score table at the time that trophies are given out each night. We haven't heard any recent news on the Korbats Lab avatar that was also unavailable due to the new version. If anyone has received the Korbat's Lab avatar recently, please let us know! ^_^ » Call for Young Baby Kougras Our list of young Baby Kougras is slowly dwindling down, so we're looking again for any Baby Kougras that are less than 59 days old! » An Update on Daily Dare! Multiple people have pointed out to us that Daily Dare is returning soon. This might turn out to be a chance to get the Gamesmaster AAA avatar if TNT chooses to re-release it. We'll keep posting updates as we hear more about the event! Update: Daily Dare is now out! Click here to participate! At the time being, we have no way of knowing if the avatar will be re-released or if it will follow the same requirements as last time. » Few Quick Updates Just a few quick updates. (I'm being swamped by boatloads of schoolwork. Ugh.) First, you may have already noticed that a new plot is currently in action on Neopets. It's the Return of Dr. Sloth! Woohoo! Ahhh! :x We will not be covering any plot news here at Avatarlog unless it's been shown that there is an avatar involved ^_^ However, a ton of our affiliated sites should have plot guides up for you to follow! Try one of the following if you are looking for plot guides: The Daily Neopets, SunnyNeo, JellyNeo, Neolodge or NNoN. » Server Downtime Sometime in the future, Avatarlog will be inaccessible for a few days while our server hardware is being relocated. I'm not sure when this will happen - it may not be for a few weeks/months(?) - but just an early heads up for everyone :) I will post an update in the news when a more definite time is determined for the site's downtime. » Winter Site Theme Charts I've put up the data charts for 2007's Winter Sidebar poll on Arid's petpage. The new charts are located below the 2006 charts; if you scroll down you should see them labeled as 2007 data. I haven't written up the conclusions yet, as I'm still reading through all of the user-submitted comments about what people thought did or didn't help them towards getting the sidebar. When those are finished, I'll add them onto the petpage! :)

» New Advert Attack Score The Advert Attack game has gotten a slight revamp and the avatar score now appears to be 700+. I found this score hilariously easy to get, so you should definitely go for Ace Zafara if you need it :P If you score above 700 but do NOT get the avatar, please let us know your score and situation on the Comments Board and we'll look more into the score cutoffs!
