A Day at the Beach
Take your Neopet on a Tiki Tour. The avatar will appear on the page after clicking the "Go on the Tour!" button. Try using your Active Pet, if a different pet doesn't work.

What is a custom list, and how do I use one?

A custom list is a "shortcut" list of avatars you're specifically interested in. For example, you might want to put all the game avatars you need in a custom list called "Needed Game Avs" so that way, when you have some free time, you can pull up that list and try one or two from there (instead of digging through the entire list of Need (Available) avatars). Another example would be putting a few avatars in a list called "Short Term Goals" and use that as a quick list to view your goals.

To set up a custom list, click on the "Create a List" option and follow those instructions. Then use the checkboxes to mark down which avatars you want your new list to show, and name your list. After having done that, your list should show up as a link under Need (Unavailable) and Have, and you can use it like a normal list :)

What does the Entire List option show?

The entire list (as you might have guessed) shows the entire list of ALL secret avatars on Neopets. This includes retired avatars, and also shows all of the avatars in sets (for example, the Entire List option will show all four of the Maraquan/Pirate war avatars, even though it is not humanly possible to get all four).

What does the Need (Available) list show?

This list shows the avatars you don't have that are possible to get. Think of it as your list of goals ;) Retired avatars are not shown here, and in the special case of the Meerouladen/Heermeedjet avatar, if you mark down one of them has 'Have', then the other will automatically be removed from this list and go onto the Unavailable list, because it is impossible to get both of them.

What does the Need (Unavailable) list show?

This list shows the avatars you don't have but you cannot get (retired, etc.). You can still move avatars from this list to the "Have" list if you got them before (or are newly updating your checklist). However, since all of the avatars on this list are retired or (in the case of a set like the war avatars) you can only get one of them, you should use the Available list instead to show the avatars that you can try to get to add to your collection.

What does the Have list show?

This shows all the avatars you've marked down as having :) If you made a mistake, you can easily remove an avatar from this list by checking the "Remove" button and hitting Update at the bottom, and the avatar will return to the Need (Available) list if you can still get it, or the Need (Unavailable) list if it is retired :)

    How do I sort lists?

At the top of the list, you have the following options to sort from:

  • Alphabet: Sorts avatars by their name alphabetically.
  • Type: Groups them together by their type (Game, Retired, Clickable, etc.)
  • Date (Oldest): Oldest on top, newest on bottom; by avatar release date.
  • Default (Newest): Newest on top, oldest on bottom; by avatar release date.

Can I generate the HTML showing my avatars for a petpage?

Yup! Just use the options to find the list you want (Full, Have, Need - available, or Need - unavailable) and then click any sorting options you want (Alpha, Type, Oldest, Newest). Then, click on the button at the top that says 'Click here to generate petpage HTML code for this list'. A code will be generated that can be copied onto your petpage to show off your avatars :)
